Theater in the Park – July 16th 7:00 pm

The Brookhaven Recreation Committee is sponsoring its annual Theater in the Park on TUESDAY, JULY 16th at 7:00 pm at the Municipal Center (back lawn area). The Commonwealth Classic Theatre Company’s 15th production is William Shakespeare’s Measure for Measure, a bawdy and darkly witty drama where questions of mercy and morality, justice and corruption are explored in a thrilling story line seemingly made for today. A young women pursuing the possibility of a life as a nun and the young leader of Vienna find it is mutually beneficial to work together in a desperate attempt to save what they love.  She seeks to save the life of her brother.  He is on a mission to save his city from corruption and immorality. Bring your lawn chairs and blankets and come out to enjoy an evening under the stars with your family, friends and neighbors to watch one of the classics. 30 Gallon Recycling Trash Cans to be Delivered

The Borough Council has purchased, with the help of a State Grant, 3,000 – 30 Gallon Recycling Trash Cans.  The Public Works Department will begin to deliver 1 can, curbside, per household beginning the week of June 3, 2019. We anticipate that by the end of the summer each house will have one delivered.   Please note Hilltop, Hilltop Summit, Trimble Run, Stone Hill, and Traditions already have and pay for their own recycling dumpsters.  Please be patient as our Public Works Team works this important project into their already busy and crowed...

Recycling Reminders

TRASH – Please note TV’s DO NOT go out in trash on Wednesdays.  All pizza boxes and plastic bags are regular trash along with caps from plastic water and soda bottles or milk or juice jugs.  We have new stickers that can be placed on your trash receptacle.  Please call the borough office 610-874-2557 if you have a trash complaint.  Mattress and Box Springs must be wrapped in plastic before it goes out to the curb. RECYCLES – ALL RECYCLES MUST BE LOOSE IN A RECYCLE CONTAINER — not in plastic bags. Brown paper bags, glass, cans, newspapers and cardboard are recyclables. PLASTIC THAT IS MARKED WITH A DIAMOND 1, 2, 3, 4, 5 and 7 ARE RECYCLABLES, Number 6 is excluded and not recyclable.  Any cardboard that gets wet will be considered regular...
