The Brookhaven Fire Company welcomes you to our web page. We hope you find our site both interesting and informative. Your comments are greatly appreciated, please feel free to let us know what you think. The fire company is 100% volunteer, we do not receive any financial compensation for providing fire protection to our surrounding community. We operate solely on our fund raising efforts. The fire company has three pumpers, one heavy rescue/air bank, one pumper/rescue, and a Chiefs car in operation and an active membership of approximately 60 members.

An extensive fire prevention program is run by the Fire Prevention Committee which visits all the schools and day care centers in the borough during Fire Prevention week each October. In 1999, the fire company added BUZZ the Clown to its Fire Prevention program. The company sponsors a Fire Safety Carnival each May to educate the public regarding fire prevention and safety in the home. Demonstrations are given showing how to extinguish car fires, vehicle extrication, and how to escape from a burning building. There is a first aid demonstration by the local ambulance companies and a visit by a Medivac helicopter. The Brookhaven Fire Company encourages all residents to attend and become familiar with these life-saving techniques.

This volunteer organization is always looking for new members. Any person 14 years or older interested in joining is asked to come to the regular meeting any Tuesday night at 6 PM at the firehouse.
