Update from the Rec Board — 9/25/24
As of Wednesday night, September 25th, the Family Day ticket pickups are complete. We have given out over 2000 tickets for the 2024 Brookhaven Family Day. This seems like it will be out biggest.
Family Day runs from 12:00pm-4:00pm behind the Brookhaven Municipal Building and in the Gym. We highly recommend that residents coming to Family Day park at Coebourn Elementary School. We have a van, courtesy of Bargain Rental of Brookhaven, that will be running people to the Borough building and returning then to Coebourn. The van will start running around 11:30am and ending around 4:30pm. If you need to drop off anyone for any reason, you may enter the driveway between the Fire House and the Police Station and exit behind the Fire House to the drive behind Burger King.
Family Day will be held RAIN OR SHINE. If we need we will have the vendors/agencies in the building. We are looking forward to seeing everyone on Saturday.

What started as a small community celebration in 1986 at Memorial Park is now a large community celebration held at the Brookhaven Municipal Center. This year is our 37th anniversary – a day to celebrate friendship and unity of community. The day includes many activities for the young and not so young. We have some local businesses, social service agencies, and representatives of our elected officials who will be letting people know about constituent services.
Tickets are required for food and drink, these are free tickets for Brookhaven Residents and can be obtained at the Borough Office:
- Weekday Daytime hours – Monday through Friday, August 26 through September 20, 9am – 4pm
- Evening Hours – Monday & Wednesday, August 26 through September 11, 6-8pm; Monday through Friday, September 16 through September 20, 6-8pm
We are looking forward to seeing our residents come out for a fun time of community celebration!
