Fire & EMS Company

The Brookhaven Fire Company, Station #52, protects and serves Brookhaven Borough and the surrounding Delaware County communities. Bringing calm to chaos since 1922, Brookhaven Fire Company is made up of approximately 60 volunteer members, while EMS is comprised of 8 full-time EMTS and 15 part-time EMTs.

Our members train weekly to prepare for fire suppression, search and rescue, motor vehicle accidents, hazmat incidents and medical emergency calls. We run one Engine, one Squad, one Ladder, one Rescue, one Utility Pickup, and three BLS (Basic Life Support) Ambulances.

Community is a large part of what we do. We manage an extensive fire prevention program to educate the public on fire safety. We visit schools, day care centers, sponsor a Fire Safety Carnival, and provide fire prevention materials at the Borough’s Annual Family Day.

We run two Annual Fund Drives each year, fire in January and EMS in May. Please note that the fee for EMS services is a subscription, and therefore, if paid and you require emergency transportation, you will not incur any out-of-pocket expenses that your insurance company does not cover. Please look for these mailings and support these very important annual fundraising drives!
