Penn-Delco School District

The Penn-Delco School District was started in 1960 by Dr. William G. Moser, who served as the district’s first superintendent and was instrumental for the building of the Sun Valley High School and administration building on land donated by the Sun Oil Company.  The district was carved out of the nearby present-day Chester-Upland School District and now covers Aston Township, Brookhaven Borough, and Parkside Borough.

There are approximately 3,400 students enrolled in grades kindergarten through twelve (12) and educated at the following schools:

  • Aston Elementary School
  • Coebourn Elementary School
  • Parkside Elementary School
  • Pennell Elementary School
  • Northley Middle School
  • Sun Valley High School
