When performing outdoor chores, such as using riding mowers, lawn mowers, weed whackers, hedge trimmers, etc., remember to use ear plugs, eye protection and gloves for your personal safety.
When using your propane grill, black stone, or propane fire pit be sure to check all connections prior to lighting. You can perform this leak check by using the Soapy Water Test. If your propane cylinder is old and rusty or expired, replace it at your local hardware store.
With vacation season upon us, when traveling and staying in a hotel, motel or those VRBOs, remember to locate two ways out of the building. Look at the map in your room or hallway for the direction to the stair towers and use them in an emergency. DO NOT USE THE ELEVATORS!!!
At home, don’t forget to have an emergency plan, including how to get out. Call 911 as soon as you are safely able. GET OUT AND STAY OUT!
