Seven Brew started the process to open a franchise on the corner of Brookhaven Rd. and Edgmont Ave. at the site of the Rebel Smoke Shop and some surrounding parcels.
- The Planning Commission and Council heard 7 Brew Coffee’s conditional use application to occupy the Rebel Smoke Shop and nearby property at the May 5, 2026 Council Meeting. Check out the meeting recording for an in-depth discussion on this matter (beginning at minute 7:13 to 1:56:18). See the proposed drawings (below) presented at the meeting – these will help you follow along.
- Residents will have the opportunity to ask questions at the first public discussion during the June 1st Council meeting. Afterward, Council will vote on whether to approve the application.
- If Council approves the Conditonal Use, then the Zoning Hearing Board will meet on Tuesday, 6/9/26 at 7:00pm at the Municipal Building to consider an application variance regarding the property line and signage.
A Motion was made at the May 5, 2026 Council meeting to advertise said Zoning Hearing Board to hear the variances requested by Seven Brew Drive Thru Coffee on Tuesday, June 9, 2026 in the Brookhaven Municipal Center Council Chambers.

- Next steps are to complete a Traffic Management Plan, acquire approval on the Land Development Application (covering zoning, stormwater management, landscaping, traffic studies, and utilities), and secure a Highway Occupancy Permit (from PennDOT).
