The committee is tasked with analyzing and advising on the actions of law enforcement in regards to legal procedure and constitutionality and any other topics related to law enforcement action. This involves working closely with the Chief of Police and any and all law enforcement partners as necessary to establish common ground on issues, concerns, and accomplishments related to law enforcement action, legal procedure, constitutionality, and administrative law in the municipality. Tasks of the committee include, but are not limited to, policy review, quarterly review of law enforcement statistics, budgetary and spending review, police department staffing and resource needs review, and other topics deemed necessary and relevant by the council committee members, Mayor, and Chief of Police.
