The Delaware County Health Department’s (DCHD) Mosquito-Borne Disease Control Program will conduct an Ultra-Low Volume (ULV) mosquito adulticide spray in sections of Brookhaven Borough, Upland Borough, Parkside Borough and Chester City on 9/2/25. Residential and recreational areas within the treatment zone will be treated to control adult mosquitoes. This is a result of high trap counts and the identification of positive mosquito pools containing West Nile Virus in the area.
Treatment will take place during the evening of 9/2/25, starting at approximately 7:30pm and concluding by 10:30pm if weather and environmental conditions remain suitable for the operation. In the event of weather or other unexpected delays, a rain date is scheduled for 9/4/25.
